Afternoon Tea with the Royal Bride: Woodstove Cooking Workshop

Sunday, May 20, 2018 10:30 am – 3:00 pm

Participants in this hands-on workshop will prepare a lavish spread of from-scratch tea-time dainties, both sweet and savory, on the Hanford House’s Royal Bride cookstove, and then enjoy the delicacies they have created at a teatable on the Hanford House’s porch. The spring-time selection of dishes will be drawn from Afternoon Tea menus in early 1900s cookbooks, and the seasonal ingredients, techniques, and recipes used will be appropriate to the period.

This workshop is limited to eight participants and is intended for ages 13 and up.

The cost for this Cooking with the Royal Bride Workshop is $45 for Museum members, $60 for non-members.  Information on memberships can be found here.  Register by May 13  online, by calling 607-278-5744, or by emailing [email protected].
